Janette M Ortiz
Janette has been at the State College KinderCare for eight years, working her way from Toddler teacher to Preschool teacher, from there to Assistant Director and finally to Center Director. She has taught in every classroom, managed many types of staff, and encountered a diverse spectrum of children and families. Ms. Janette is often seen smiling (and heard singing) and has endearing qualities of a nurturer, while maintaining the business side of running the center.

Ms. Charlyne
<p><!--block-->Ms. Charlyne has been at the State College KinderCare for almost eleven years. She developed her love for early childhood education when she was a counselor for a church camp. From there, she worked at Busy Bee child care in high school. Two years ago, Ms. Charlyne obtained her Child Development Associate Credential. She likes working with the toddler age because this age group is starting to learn how to be independent and can grasp the information she is teaching them.</p>

<p><!--block-->Ms. Linda came to us from an Elementary Education background. She enjoys teaching the young children, making a difference in their lives from day one. Ms. Linda teaches the Discovery Preschool class, and encourages their self-help skills (including potty training!) She greets each child and parent every day, and always has an encouraging word at the end of the day.</p>

Ms. Jessica
Ms. Jess is the lead teacher in the preschool room, and she has a calming, nurturing spirit that allows the children to feel comfortable learning with her. She maintains her classroom by having a variety of activities available for the children all day long, and keeps them busy from the time they arrive until the time they leave. Many of our preschool friends sometimes don’t want to leave her at the end of the day!
